Hello people, Please pardon our absence, it’s been crazy busy around here with lots of shuffling and readjustment but we promise to try and publish posts as regularly as we can… So, earlier this week, on behalf of the Foundation, Olayinka Odumosu gave out food items to some aged folks in a home. We encourage you to create the habit of giving in your community. It could range from clothing items to footwear to foodstuff, allow them to benefit from your resources… Giving never had its disadvantage, it always brings joy not to just receiver but the giver as well… Please share and subscribe… Thank you…
I’m pretty sure everyone has simmered down the heat of the Presidential elections that took place the past weekend. Lord, this is the most Nigerians have ever been involved with politics since the MKO Abiola era, it’s pretty amusing and amazing to observe as each person wants to air their views on #NigeriaDecides.
Anyway, this post is not about the elections but a great mind I had the opportunity of meeting and talking to. She is so vibrant and filled with dreams to impact other women. Be it as it may that the meeting was an informal one, I do wish I had been able to properly interview her, I’d do that some other time, I hope.
Let’s go on to what I have the permission to share from the tiny details I could gather. Her name is Gloria Enwenna. She is young, warm hearted and has an endearing personality.
Gloria is an energetic woman with no space to harbour thoughts for the negative or discouraging moments. Despite not acquiring a job shortly after her graduation from the University, she was not deterred but went on to start a small trading business of her own whilst being involved in other engagements. Her stories of failed adventures and trying times are hers to tell but reassuringly, the great news is she surged forward to ensure she survived and started to achieve her dreams little by little.
This piece is to show how every young woman has it in her to surge forward and reach out for greatness. Gloria has a dream to train young girls and attach them to learn various skills as she believes this will help them become independent so they do not have to depend on men or other vultures of the World for survival.
She also dreams of founding her own NGO that will cater for women. *you see why GHAF took great interest in her* 😉 😉
On a more serious note, it is wonderful to meet young and alike minds. She is God-fearing and uses every opportunity she gets to share her story and God’s love for man. She is a true encourager just like her name implies “Genwenna d Encourager”

Have a pleasant week.
I’m guessing y’all had a great start to this wonderful week. I see great things happening people…
Anyways, sometime last week, GENO Hope Alive Foundation gave out some food items to another Non Profit Organization situated in the the Northern part of Nigeria…
The said Foundation makes it one of their mandates to help out those victimized and internally displaced persons who suffer as a result of the drastic effect of the Boko Haram insurgency. They aid these people with food, clothing, shelter etc.
We use the opportunity to thank Dangote Foods Plc for sponsoring with the food items that were give out. Also, our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all our other individual supporters who have been with us since the very beginning. May the good Lord bless and reward you greatly…
Most of us know women around the globe are being celebrated today…. And in line with our mission and interest, we use this medium to celebrate women everywhere… You are great and highly blessed…. Here’s a poem from the great Maya Angelou…
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think in telling lies.
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down to their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman.
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can’t see.
It’s the arch in my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout it jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
The palm of my hand,
The need of my care, ’cause I’m a woman

Disclaimer – This is not intended to be a political post…
Most people are aware that Nigeria has been in the election spirit for some time now with several prominent aspirants vying for several political offices. Anyway, like the disclaimer rightly stated, this post isn’t to serve a political purpose, so moving on….
Something caught my eye being used by several Individuals and Political Parties during their various Campaigns.
It’s the “One meal A Child” slogan which promises to give every child in a primary institution a meal per day. It made me think about how dilapidated our Communities have become that such a thing has become a norm so much so that an electoral party makes it a campaign move therefore using the poverty and impoverishment in a community to their advantage in order to harness more votes…
This should be an individual task, an individual move to want to impact your environment and feed a hungry child. There are several organizations which take it upon themselves to give out to these children and provide so much more, GENO Hope Alive Foundation being one of them.
We urge you to join or be a part of one close to you and do not wait for your government to use such travails to an advantage. It is our individual social and civic responsibility to contribute to our society.
So, please help and change your community and do not give others the chance to take advantage.
As usual, please don’t forget to share using the buttons below… Thanks.
