Being your Sister’s keeper

Its a known saying to be your Brother’s keeper, it has evolved from just the scriptural meaning to mean a lot more in our day-to-day lives.

In our context, we say the “Sister’s keeper” because women need to be protected and to protect each other. We are the gateway to new generations, if the rate of mortality keeps going on the decline, it will have a negative impact on the society and for what justification??

Even the USA President, Barack Obama, quotes it in this interview he granted in February 27, 2014 in the White House. “That’s what ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ is all about. Helping more of our young people stay on track. Providing the support they need to think more broadly about their future. Building on what works – when it works, in those critical life-changing moments.”

That is a typical summary of what we need to do for one another. We should watch out for the next person, help her achieve a greater height, pull her up when she’s down, be a sister to that sister.
Be encouraged to be a bedrock for someone else.
Stay joyful…..
